Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing therapy (EMDR)

EMDR is a comprehensive psychotherapy that helps you process and recover from past experiences that affect your mental health and wellbeing. It’s a phased, focussed approach to treating locked in trauma and other symptoms by reconnecting the client in a safe and measured way to the images, self-thoughts, emotions and body sensations associated with the trauma, and allowing the natural healing powers of the brain to move the memory forward. It’s particularly successful with clients suffering with PTSD (post-traumatic stress disorder).
